We’re going to Austin Fashion Week 2022!
Looks from established and emerging designers will hit the runway this weekend for Austin Fashion Week. Over 80 looks will be featured in the three day event this Spring accompanied by pop up shops at The Domain.
The fashion action starts on Friday April 29 with the first show at 2:30 p.m. followed by two runway events each day on Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 and 4:30 pm.
The pop up shops will be available from 12 to 6 p.m. during Austin Fashion Week.
Designers as young as 13 and 14 years old are showcasing their work as well as those who have participated in Project Runway, New York fashion Week and Paris Fashion. Andrew Clancey, designer of Any Old Iron has dressed celebrities such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Cher, Taylor Swift, Elton John and Cardi B with his pieces.
Even fashion design students from UT Austin, Round Rock ISD and Mccallum High will have the opportunity to exhibit their work on the runway. Some of the designers are local or Texan based while others are traveling from places such as Nashville.
The pieces featured will range from classic, neutral toned to colorful and fun sequined designs. There is no doubt lots of talent and creativity will take the main stage during the event.
I’m mostly excited to see garments created with sustainability in mind and the Mexican talent participating in the three day fashion event.
Tickets are still available for Austin Fashion Week but don’t worry if you can’t make it,I’ll have a recap here on my blog, Instagram and a vlog video on my YouTube.
